Job Summary
The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full‑time Experienced CNC Machine Operator II to join our team in Walnut, CA.
Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday‑Friday (2nd Shift). Full‑time. Pay: $25.41+ based on experience plus 15 % shift differential.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, and machining centers)
- Load materials, secure parts, and execute work orders based on specifications and blueprints
- Ensure parts meet quality standards through inspection and measurement
- Complete work order documentation accurately
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Collaborate with team members and assist with training others
- Follow all safety and quality standards while actively contributing ideas for improvement
What You’ll Bring
- Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
- Experience operating CNC equipment or similar machining tools
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Basic to intermediate math skills and problem‑solving ability
- Experience using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production
Preferred Experience
- Prior manufacturing or machining experience
- Vocational or technical training in machining or fabrication
- 5 Axis machine set‑up and operation with Haas, Doosan

Qualifications and Competencies
- Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods
- Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures
- Communicate with supervisor on work order priority
- Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts
- Basic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments
- Excellent problem‑solving skills
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of experience, or equivalent
- A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands‑on, vocational or job‑related course work/training, or any similar combination
Education and experience are required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
Salary Description
$25.41+ based on experience
