Job summary

The Gund Company in Walnut, CA is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator II for the 2nd shift. This full-time role focuses on operating multiple CNC machines, reading blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances on custom parts.

You’ll set up lathes, mills, and machining centers, load materials, verify quality with calipers and gauges, document work orders, and participate in training others. Overtime may be required; a competitive pay with 15% shift differential is offered.

The Gund Company - Walnut, CA

Schedule: 1:30 PM-10:00 PM | Monday-Friday | Full-Time

Pay: $25.41+ based on experience + 15% Shift Differential

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, and machining centers)

What You Bring

• Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
• Experience operating CNC equipment or similar machining tools
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Basic to intermediate math skills and problem-solving ability
• Experience using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production

Preferred Experience

• Prior manufacturing or machining experience
• Vocational or technical training in machining or fabrication
• 5 Axis machine set-up and operation with Haas, Doosan.

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of experience, or equivalent
• A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job‑related course work/training, or any similar combination
• of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred
