The Gund Company is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Walnut, CA to operate CNC production centers and support parts fabrication per work orders and drawings. You will load, set up, and run lathes and mills, ensuring quality and efficiency while following safety rules.
Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, measuring parts with standard tools, maintaining setups, completing paperwork, and contributing to cross-training and continuous improvement efforts in a busy shop environment.
Implement the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. Operate one or more CNC production machining centers to include but not limited to lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, etc. First of Four levels of CNC machining center operators. Loads and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided and setups are made and maintained by higher level operators.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is may be required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
The work environment is typical of most shop environments; not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
