Job summary

Pioneer Human Services in Seattle, WA is seeking a CNC Mills Operator II who can set up, operate, and tend milling machines to produce precise metal parts. You will read blueprints, verify specifications, and contribute to a team focused on rehabilitation and community impact.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–3 years of machining experience, and familiarity with blueprints and tight tolerances. Mazak experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1–3 years’ experience operating machinery.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Experience with tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, or tend milling machines to mill, shape, groove, or profile metal work pieces.
  • Read blueprints, drawings and diagrams to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Perform machine programming and train new employees.

Compensation:
New hires for this position typically start between $28.08 and $35.10 hourly, depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions. While the full pay range is provided to support pay transparency, individual compensation will vary within the range based on these factors.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring (required qualifications):

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1-3 years’ experience operating machinery.
  • Knowledgeable in reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Experience with tight tolerances.

Preferably you’ll bring (preferred/desirable qualifications):

  • Experience on Mazak machines.
