Job summary

Kennametal in Orwell, OH is seeking a CNC Operator I to run and set up multiple machines per blueprints, with HMIs for program adjustments. You will load/unload parts, gauge dimensions, inspect specimens, and document results in a fast-paced environment on 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm).

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; a 2-year technical degree is preferred. Safety PPE is required, and training is provided to develop operator skills and quality awareness.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate multiple machines to blueprint specifications.
• Operate and monitor machines using HMIs to adjust programs.
• Gage product to ensure dimensions and inspect samples with appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple machines.
• Computer controlled setup using the HMI to adjust programs or machines.
• Load and off-load product from multiple machines.
• Gage product to insure proper dimensions.
• Inspect and record inspection results according to process standards.
• Place product into appropriate racks and separate scrap from good product.
• Maintain tooling used in machines.
• Train new operators when required.
• Trouble shoot quality and machine issues from moderate to complex.
