Job summary

Kennametal is seeking a CNC Operator I for the 2nd shift in Orwell, OH to run multiple machines and produce parts to blueprint specifications.

You will set up machines, load and unload parts, gauge for dimensions, and document results using inspection tools. Maintain tooling and assist with troubleshooting to keep production on schedule.

Requires a high school diploma or GED; a 2-year technical degree is preferred. PPE is required in the work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• 2 year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple machines. Computer controlled setup using the HMI to make adjustment to programs or machines.
• Load and off-load product from multiple machines. Gage product to insure proper dimensions.
• Scope product to verify visual characteristics and defects. Check product samples using inspection tools and record inspection results according to process standards.
• Maintain tooling used in machines. Train new operators when required. Troubleshooting quality and machine issues from moderate to complex.
