Job description

Salary: $22-24/hour
Hours: Monday - Friday - 5/6am - 3:30/4:30pm
Position Overview:
Performs operation of complex machined components for many industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following essential functions are the critical duties an employee must be able to perform either unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.
  • Operate CNC machine tools
  • Check produced parts for conformance to specifications
  • Ability to follow written and or verbal job-related instructions
  • Ability to do repetitive machining work
  • May run multiple machines simultaneously in a production cell
  • Basic blueprint knowledge
  • Basic math skills
  • Must show capability to come to work every day per company expectations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: (Minimum & Preferred)
  • High school diploma required; CNC Technical Diploma preferred
  • 1 year or less of machining experience
  • Ability to use a computer
Physical and Mental Demands:
Intermittent (less than 15%), Occasional (15-45%), Frequent (50-75%), and Continuous (over 75%)

  • Stand for up to 10 hours
  • Frequent repetitive bending and twisting
  • Occasionally required to walk, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders and move from place to place.
  • The incumbent will continuously stand for up to 10 hours.
  • The employee will intermittently sit, talk and listen frequently, and will frequently use hands to finger, handle or touch.
  • Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 30 pounds such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area.
Working Environment:
The employee works in a factory environment and is occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. He/she is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
