Job summary

RTCA, a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer in Simi Valley, is seeking a CNC Operator for swing shift. The role involves safely operating CNC equipment, loading/unloading materials, and supporting basic tooling setups to produce high‑quality aerospace parts.

You will work onsite, collaborate with machinists and quality teams, maintain production records, and participate in 5S and continuous improvement. The position offers shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, routers, and production documentation.
• Ability to use standard measuring tools to perform in-process inspections.
• Experience assisting with machine setups, tool offsets, and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer/data entry skills.
• Ability to work safely and follow all safety protocols.
• Ability to support training of less experienced operators.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment safely across multiple machines.
• Load and unload materials and parts, and support basic tooling setup.
• Perform in-process and basic inspections.
• Perform minor deburring and part finishing.
• Assist with machine setups and tool offsets.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Communicate issues and support smooth workflow.
• Participate in 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Support training of less experienced operators.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
