Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and run CNC 3-axis milling and turning machines for high-precision aerospace components. You will read blueprints, perform multiple machining operations, and inspect parts to exact specifications.

You will also troubleshoot machine issues, perform basic maintenance, and maintain documentation while complying with safety and quality standards. This role is on 5th shift with specific weekend hours and a starting hourly rate of $36.49.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience with 3-axis CNC machining and assembly or equivalent schooling
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC 3-axis milling and/or turning machines
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing best practices
  • Experience performing quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and gauges
  • Ability to lift and move materials and work around oils, coolants, and other manufacturing fluids

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC 3-axis milling and turning machines to manufacture precision aerospace components
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications
  • Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, and turning operations
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers and other gauges to verify conformance
  • Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and make necessary machine adjustments
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic machine care to maximize equipment performance
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • Follow Honeywell Aerospace safety, quality, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams on prototype, development, and production activities
  • Use measuring and machining tools such as micrometer and caliper

Job description

As an CNC Operator here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. You will ensure that all parts meet quality standards and specifications, and you will work closely with the production team to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

In this role, you will impact the production process by ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and on time. Your expertise in CNC machining will help drive continuous improvement and operational excellence within our manufacturing operations

This role will support 5th Shift. Does not include any mandated overtime and training may take place on a different shift

Monday & Friday - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday - 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC 3-axis milling and turning machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.

  • Understanding of machine shop safety practices, PPE requirements, and safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required and work around oils, coolants, and other manufacturing fluids.

  • Experience working in a cellular manufacturing or work-cell environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting prototype builds, new product introductions, and process improvement initiatives.

HOURLY RATE

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $36.49 per hour, not including any shift differential.
