Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision aerospace components. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, monitor cycles, and verify parts meet specifications while collaborating with production teams.

This 5th shift role offers an hourly rate of $36.49 and a comprehensive benefits package. You will perform routine maintenance, document quality data, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift/move materials around oils, coolants, and fluids.

As a CNC Operator here at Honeywell, you will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts

As an CNC Operator here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. You will ensure that all parts meet quality standards and specifications, and you will work closely with the production team to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

In this role, you will impact the production process by ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and on time. Your expertise in CNC machining will help drive continuous improvement and operational excellence within our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC 3-axis milling and turning machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Perform machining operations including milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, and turning.
• Inspect parts using standard and specialized measuring devices to verify conformance to specifications and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine care to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow all Honeywell Aerospace safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams on prototype, development, and production activities.

This role will support 5th Shift*

Monday and Friday 10 am- 6 pm. Saturday and Sunday 10 am- 10 pm

does not include any mandated overtime and training may take place on a different shift

Qualifications

MUST HAVE

• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience performing quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Ability to perform machining operations including milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, and turning.
• Understanding of machine shop safety practices, PPE requirements, and safe operating procedures.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required and work around oils, coolants, and other manufacturing fluids

• Experience working on 4-Axis CNC machines
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience working in a cellular manufacturing or work-cell environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting prototype builds, new product introductions, and process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams.

HOURLY RATE

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $36.49 per hour, not including any shift differential.
