Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Operator for the 3rd shift in Delmont, PA. You will set up and operate CNC machines, edit programs using Haas VPS, and ensure parts meet strict tolerances.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, applying G & M codes, tooling adjustments, tooling and material planning, and conducting quality inspections with precision instruments. Safety and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of CNC setup and operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical school certificate or diploma preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC programming, including G & M codes, tool geometry, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
• Haas VPS experience preferred; AutoCAD and SurfCAM experience are a plus.
• Strong blueprint reading, measurement, and quality inspection skills; optical comparator experience preferred.
• Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparator and indicators.
• Strong math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Forklift experience or ability to become forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines independently using setup sheets and work instructions.
• Review, edit, and create CNC programs as needed; create programs using Haas VPS.
• Apply knowledge of G & M codes, tool geometry, speeds, feeds, and tooling.
• Set tool offsets and establish work origins using tool setters and WIPS.
• Read blueprints and inspection specs; verify parts with precision tools.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections; troubleshoot machining issues.
• Report nonconforming materials, tooling issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Assist training and supporting other CNC operators.
