Job summary

Burton Mill Solutions, a division within Wood Technologies International, seeks a CNC Operator I for Sunday-Thursday 7PM-5AM at the Fountain Inn, SC facility. You will program and load/unload CNC lathes, mills, and grinders to produce high-precision blades and saws.

Earn $20-$24/hour with a $1.50 premium on 3rd shift, and enjoy benefits like medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, and tuition reimbursement. Must read English, perform basic math, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Must be able to do basic math.
• Must lift 50 pounds and stand for the shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and change tooling or saw blades to grind/cut steel.
• Read industrial knife blueprints and load/unload steel from machines.
• Complete SPC charts and perform quality checks.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) within 90 days.
• Provide support and training to others when needed.

We are seeking a CNC Operator I, 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday 7PM - 5AM) to join our team of talented people to help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership. This position works out of our facility in Fountain Inn, SC. Come and grow with us!

Mastering the art of precision, our CNC Operators take command by programming and loading/unloading computer-controlled lathes, mills, and grinders to craft high-precision metal blades and saws, ensuring every cut is flawless.

Pay for this position is $20 - $24 USD/per hour + $1.50 hourly when working 3rd shift.

• Set up machines and change tooling or saw blades to grind/cut steel
• Use specialized saws or hand tool
• Use calipers and micrometers, must understand fractions and decimals
• Read industrial knife blueprints
• Complete Statistical Process Control Charts (SPCs) for all assignments
• Perform quality checks
• Forklift Certified (or able to become certified)
• Load and unload steel from machines
• General cleaning and maintenance of machines and area
• Work with a high sense of urgency
• Wear all required PPE
• May be required to provide support and training to others
• Active participation in Lean and Safety Training
• Must cross-train to other positions as requested
• Other duties as assigned.
