Job summary

Spectrum Industries Inc. is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our Metals team in Wisconsin. This position operates CNC and other production equipment to manufacture sheet metal and metal tubing products, parts, and components.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm – 2:00am with a 7.5% second-shift differential and a paid lunch break. Experience in CNC operation, setup, tooling, troubleshooting, or program adjustment is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor setup and adjustment functions on the machine
• Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Measures dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
• Adjusts machine feed and speed, changes cutting tools, or adjusts machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if the machines malfunction
• Stops machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement
• Manually lifts work pieces to machines, or with the assistance of a lifting mechanism to load and unload machinery
• Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications
• Records and submits accurate work time and job functions on daily time documents and routing sheets
• Other duties as assigned
