Job summary

VT Industries, Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to set up machines, calibrate and adjust settings, and inspect outputs for quality and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

You will perform routine tests, log activities, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards, with potential rotation across tasks. Required: at least 2 years of CNC operator experience, ability to work 5–6 days per week and over 10 hours daily, and passing pre-employment drug screen and background checks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of continuous CNC operator experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to work 5–6 days a week and over 10 hours daily.
• Ability to work independently or with a team while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Excellent attendance required.
• Follow all safety rules and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, change overs, etc.).
• Control and adjust machine settings.
• Inspect with precision and measuring tools.
• Test operation of machine periodically.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Maintain activity log and ensure full capacity and quality.
• May be placed into job rotation and participate in daily production meeting.
• Keep work area clean and organized and observe safety policies.

Job description

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, change overs, etc.)
  Control and adjust machine settings
  Inspect with precision and measuring tools
  Test operation of machine periodically
  Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  Maintain activity log
  Ensure machine is working at full capacity and producing quality product
  May be placed into job rotation
  Complete standard work and quality checks
  Visual check on quality
  Complete process control sheet
  Complete 5s checklist
  Participate in daily production meeting
  Keep work area clean and organized
  Work individually or with team members as assigned
  Always observe safety policies and procedures, including use of required PPE
  Work individually or with team members as assigned
  Maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment
  Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for standing long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print on countertops and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
