Job summary

Burke Porter, An Ascetial Technologies Company, is seeking a 2nd shift operator in Three Rivers, MI. Work hours are 3:20pm to 1:50am, Monday through Thursday, performing milling and lathe operations per job orders and quality standards.

Responsibilities include measuring parts, maintaining safety protocols, and documenting production and quality logs. Experience with mills/lathe work is helpful and will be used to ensure repeatability of quality parts.

• Ability to read and follow job orders precisely.
• Familiar with measuring and inspection as per drawings.

• Documents production and quality logs accurately.

• Manual Mill/Lathe experience helpful
• Follows work instructions to maintain repeatability in quality parts.
• Follows Job orders to produce only the amount required
• Operates mills and lathes by following instructions, including zero and reference points.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer\'s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Follow quality standards to ensure parts are to the customer and company standards
• Other responsibilities may be added or assumed based on necessity
