Essential Functions

1. Gauge and maintain quality parts throughout machining process.
2. Maintain quality standards for production parts according to written quality procedures and practices.
3. Maintain accurate parts counts and data integrity by clocking in and out properly on data computer collection system.
4. Mark and/or tag identifying material on stock items and prepare necessary paperwork for proper routing of materials.
5. Conduct minor repairs and maintenance to cutting tools during production process.
6. Follow and adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and practices. Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and occasionally to wet/humid conditions, airborne particles, chemicals, and heat. The noise level is usually loud.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, handle, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate. Must lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, and depth perception.

Position Details

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with long hours and occasional weekends.

Requirements

One-year experience with a 3-axis or 4-axis CNC mill, ability to read and edit CNC programs, interpret blueprints and gauges, and a high school diploma or GED. Must obtain lift operator license for pallet jack and forklift. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
