Job summary

Dixon Fire, a division of The Dixon Group, is seeking a CNC Operator to support our Winchester manufacturing operations. You will learn to set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision metal components and contribute to a high-quality, safe production environment.

We train the right candidate and offer education on Mazak and Fanuc controls, daily maintenance, and teamwork. Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are valued as you grow with a long-established, employee-focused

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous CNC operator experience or strong mechanical aptitude; training provided.
  • Familiarity with G-code or blueprints is a plus.
  • Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to set up and operate CNC machines (Fanuc/Mazak).
  • Identify and resolve machining or program issues.
  • Perform inspections to ensure drawings and quality specs are met.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
  • Complete basic daily maintenance on machines.
  • Rotate between assignments to support production.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in training.

Work Hours: 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday

This is an exciting opportunity to learn the CNC function and grow with a great company—we will train the right person! In this role, you'll learn to set u p and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) lathes to produce high-quality metal components that meet precise specifications. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a t eam-oriented environment. This position also offers opportunities to perform additional tasks, such as operating a laser marker or assisting with light assembly to support customer demand and expand your skill set.

What You’ll Do:
  • L earn to set u p and operate CNC machines (experience with Fanuc and Mazak controls is a plus)

What We Are Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Pr evious experience as a CNC operator or a strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn (we will train the right candidate!)
  • Familiarity with G‑code programming or blueprints is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls preferredSkilled or willing to learn the u se of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Strong reading, math, and data entry abilities
  • General computer proficiency
  • H igh attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift up t o 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for the full shift
