Elevation3D in Shrewsbury, MA is seeking a CNC Operator to safely program, set up, and operate CNC equipment for fabricating custom trade show exhibits and experiential environments.   • Ability to read CAD/shop drawings and production specifications.
  • Experience with CNC routers and CAM software used in fabrication.
  • Familiarity with woodworking materials such as plywood, MDF, laminate and plastics.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up and operate CNC equipment according to approved drawings and production files.
  • Review drawings, cut files, materials, and specifications prior to production.
  • Select appropriate tooling and machine settings for each job.
  • Verify dimensions and quality of completed components.
  • Work with CAD and Shop leadership to resolve production or file-related issues.
  • Prioritize CNC work based on production schedules and deadlines.
  • Optimize material usage and minimize waste.
  • Maintain CNC equipment, tooling, and a clean, organized work area.
  • Identify and report machine, tooling, material, or quality issues.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, SOPs, and quality standards.
  • Assist with general shop fabrication when needed.
  • Support continuous improvement of CNC and fabrication processes.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Previous CNC experience in woodworking, millwork, cabinetry, exhibit fabrication, or similar manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with CNC routers and common sheet materials, including plywood, MDF, laminate, and plastics.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD/shop drawings and production specifications.
  • Working knowledge of CNC/CAM software, tooling, and machine setup.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring and inspection tools.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn company software.Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with CAD, Shop, Assembly, and Operations teams.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in an active fabrication environment.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials, sheet goods, tools, and equipment.
