Position Summary

Exhibitus is hiring a CAD Detailer/CNC Operator to use CNC machinery safely and accurately to produce high-quality parts and materials for our exhibits. This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC machines to cut plywood and plastics for fabrication.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Set up test runs to verify output meets specifications.
• Supervise machines, making adjustments to improve results.
• Inspect and measure finished products, comparing with requirements.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Maintain logs and reports.
• Opportunity to manage a new fabrication shop floor.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a CNC operator.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling, and in using precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Computer savvy with basic understanding of programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• Attention to detail and results‑driven approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in engineering or a related discipline is a plus.
• Completed apprenticeship is desired.
