Job summary

Caliberr Staffing is seeking a hands-on CNC operator to lead lean manufacturing initiatives and ensure high-precision part production. You will manage multiple machining centers, set up tooling, and drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will collaborate with quality and operations teams to guarantee first-piece accuracy, maintain logs, and support overall equipment efficiency. Strong problem-solving and basic computing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate CNC expertise and troubleshoot robot positioning via the teach pendant.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with shop floor equipment.

Responsibilities

• Champion and implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies in daily operations.
• Engage in meetings focused on elimination of waste and process improvement.
• Manage operations across CNC machining centers and configure machine settings.
• Oversee tooling setup, maintenance, and resolution of issues in your cell.
• Monitor first-piece inspections and adjust tool offsets to meet quality specs.

Job description

• Champion and implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies
• Engage actively in meetings focused on the Elimination of Waste
• Contribute to the achievement of organizational targets and milestones
• Manage operations across a variety of CNC machining centers
• Configure machine settings based on programming and install necessary fixtures
• Oversee the setup, maintenance of tooling, and resolution of technical issues within your designated cell
• Conduct initial inspections on the first piece produced, modifying tool offsets to ensure parts meet precise dimensional and quality standards
• Maintain accurate and current documentation daily, including production logs, PPLH, TAKT, and scrap reporting
• Manually load and unload tooling as instructed
• Execute production quality assessments as defined by the quality control department
• Communicate any identified quality flaws directly to the Team Leader or management

Requirements for Success

• Demonstrate CNC expertise, including the ability to troubleshoot and refine robot positioning via the teach pendant
• Possess fundamental computer literacy
• Utilize shop floor equipment such as SAP scanners, calculators, printers, and calipers
• Maintain a solid understanding of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 regulatory standards
