Job summary

Amsted Automotive Group in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time CNC operator to efficiently operate various CNC machines in a demanding manufacturing setting. You will load and unload parts, perform in-process checks, and follow documented procedures to ensure quality.

The role requires standing for shifts, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. We value safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and mental alertness.
• 1+ years of CNC machining experience or CNC education or equivalent.
• Proficiency in CNC programming, machine setup, and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clear work area.
• Load and unload various CNC machines.
• Perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Follow process documents.
• Escalate quality concerns as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in good condition.
• Perform tool changes and machine adjustments as needed.

About The Role

We are looking for a full-time CNC operator to efficiently and effectively operate various types of CNC machinery.Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise. Multiple openings on different shifts.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a safe and clear work area
• Load and unload various CNC machines
• Perform quality checks using equipment such as mics, calipers, drop indicators and other gages
• Follow process documents
• Escalate quality concerns as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in good condition.
• Perform tool changes and machine adjustments as needed

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand/walk for the entirety of the shift
• Manual dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience using measurement tools (gages, calipers, micrometers)
• 1 + years of experience in CNC machining OR CNC education or equivalent
• Be physically capable of tasks that require hand-eye coordination
