Job description

Job title: CNC Operator

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Supervisory responsibilities: None.

Summary/objective: Steel Craft Technologies is looking for CNC Operators to add to their team at their Belmont, MI plant! As the operator, you are responsible for the proper operation of CNC burning equipment to produce burned parts according to preprogrammed dimensions, meeting quality and quantity standards on a consistent basis.

Steel Craft is willing to train new, entry-level applicants for this role.

Essential functions:

1. Do the programming for the CNC burners.
2. Load correct plate on burner.
3. Burn parts according to work order.
4. Deburr and clean parts.
5. Measure and label top and bottom edges.
6. Place parts on a skid.
7. Keep a safe and clean work environment.

Required competency, education, and experience:

1. Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
2. Candidate must be able to read a tape measure.
3. Candidate must have the ability to be trained (if necessary).
4. Candidate must be able to work well with others.
5. Candidate must be able to take direction from Shop Foreman and Shift Leaders.

Work environment: Manufacturing facility

Physical demands:

1. Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
2. Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
3. Candidate must be able to lift 60 pounds.

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time, 3rd shift. 10 pm to 6 am with paid lunch. Training will occur on day shift.

Travel: None.
