Haag-Streit USA, Inc. in Mason, OH is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and operate CNC machines for multiple machining operations, reading blueprints and tolerances to produce high-precision parts.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Relevant set-up experience on CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining Centers required.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions.
• High level of attention to detail to ensure product meets quality expectations.
• Must have good manual dexterity.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one or more CNC machines to perform turning, drilling, boring, threading, milling and facing material to specifications to produce parts.
• Read specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts required.
• Operate and observe machine operation and verify conformance of work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges.
• Maintain a low rejection and scrap rate, by inspecting parts as needed.
• Meet the standards (set up and run times) set by Reliance Medical Products.

SUMMARY:

Set up and operate one or more CNC machines to perform series of machining operations, such as turning, drilling, boring, threading, milling and facing material to specifications to produce parts. Read specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts required. Operate and observe machine operation and verify conformance of work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Set up and operate one or more CNC machines to perform series of machining operations, such as turning, drilling, boring, threading, milling and facing material to specifications to produce parts.
• Reads specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts required.
• Operates and observes machine operation and verifies conformance of work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no‑go gauges.
• Accurately read a variety of gauges, such as O.D. and I.D. micrometers, height gauge, dial calipers and a scale.
• Maintain a low rejection and scrap rate, by inspecting parts as needed.
• Meet the standards (set up and run times) set by Reliance Medical Products.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Relevant set-up experience on CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining Centers required.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions.
• High level of attention to detail to ensure product meets quality expectations.
• Must have good manual dexterity.
• Interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution, active participation, active listening.
• Able to clearly communicate ideas, problems and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
