Location: USA - Louisville, CO.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided, and setups are often made and maintained by others.
- Collects and records Statistical Process Control (SPC) data as required by inspection methods for each order to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operates the Optical Comparator and other measuring tools to ensure correct dimensions of machined parts.
- Receives and reviews production orders for machining jobs; requires reviewing the blueprint and materials for accuracy.
- Oversees machine operation throughout the production run to ensure part conformance.
- May be required to run more than one machine simultaneously per standard work.
- Cross trains in other areas as needed.
- Demonstrates understanding, support and consistent application of our Vision, Mission and Core Values.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of six months CNC machining experience or completion of a trade school machine shop program. It also requires previous experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in English; both written and verbal.
- Ability to operate CNC machinery efficiently and protect tools against breakage.
- Ability to adjust tooling offsets.
- Knowledge of SPC charts based on dimensions and ability to read them.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of blueprints and work instructions.
- Mathematical skills to read and process work instructions.
- Knowledge of materials and material requirements.

- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to use and read measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, scales and other quality‑control tools; can read measurements between .100 to .0001.
Work Environment / Physical Demands / Equipment Used
This position is located in a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending, and reaching throughout an entire shift. Must be able to move and handle varying sized products in a dirty, dusty and noisy environment. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
