Job summary

Carolinas Staffing is seeking a CNC Operator in Leland, NC. You will run repeat proven parts of low to intermediate complexity and follow shop paper procedures with proper updates, signatures, and stamps. You will be supervised by the area Lead, Supervisor, or qualified Machinist.

• Pass background check and drug test.
• Good visual acuity for reading machine gauges, blueprints, and precision instruments.
• Hearing ability to monitor machine sounds and diagnose changes.
• Frequent standing, walking, pushing, reaching overhead, and bending.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity.
• Follow shop procedures including updates, signatures, and stamps, and ensure accurate routing with work orders.
• Inspect and measure parts and perform in-process inspections; report discrepancies to supervision.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and alert lead or supervisor.
• Maintain machines, tools, and work area in optimal production condition.

Carolinas Staffing is looking for CNC Operators in Leland, NC!

As a Machine Operator you will run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity. You will receive direction and will be overseen by the area Lead, Supervisor, or qualified area Machinist.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedures including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
• Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
• Inspect and measure parts as needed, and complete in-process inspections. For any discrepancies notify supervision.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Alert Lead or Supervisor to any issue(s) on job or machine.
• Clean and maintains machines, working area, tooling and parts in optimal production condition.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts
• Hearing ability: ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action
• Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
• Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Safety

• Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
• Knowledge of Shop safety practices and use of PPE

Pay

$20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour Depending on experience.

Hours/Shifts

Second Shift: 4:00pm-2:30am Monday - Thursday

Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 6am to 6pm. Will be paid for 40 hours.
