Job summary

Carolinas Staffing is seeking CNC Operators in Leland, NC to run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity. You will operate machines under the direction of the area Lead or Supervisor and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Second Shift: 4:00pm-2:30am, Monday–Thursday; Weekend Shift: 6:00am–6:00pm, Friday–Sunday. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience. A background check and drug test are required.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug test required.
• Visual acuity reading machine gauges/blueprints.
• Hearing ability to monitor machine sounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to run repeat proven parts of low to intermediate complexity.
• Follow shop paper procedures with updates, signatures, and stamps; ensure accurate routing with work orders.
• Inspect parts and perform in-process inspections; report discrepancies to supervision.
• Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and alert Lead/Supervisor.
• Maintain machines, tooling and work area in optimal production condition.

Carolinas Staffing is looking for CNC Operators in Leland, NC!

Job Summary:

As a Machine Operator you will run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity. You will receive direction and will be overseen by the area Lead, Supervisor, or qualified area Machinist.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedures including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
• Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
• Inspect and measure parts as needed, and complete in-process inspections. For any discrepancies notify supervision.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Alert Lead or Supervisor to any issue(s) on job or machine.
• Clean and maintains machines, working area, tooling and parts in optimal production condition.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts
• Hearing ability: ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action
• Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
• Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Safety:

• Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
• Knowledge of Shop safety practices and use of PPE

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour Depending on experience.

Hours/Shifts:

Second Shift: 4:00pm-2:30am Monday - Thursday

Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 6am to 6pm. Will be paid for 40 hours.
