LeoForce in Greenfield, MA is seeking a CNC Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. This permanent role requires operating and maintaining CNC machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring tight tolerances and quality throughout production.

A minimum of 2+ years’ experience and strong attention to detail are essential. We offer competitive pay ($25-$33/hour) and a benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, PTO, and a company-matched retirement plan.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC Operator or Swiss Machinist experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and gauges.
• Experience with G-code and machine control.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC machines for drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Read blueprints and interpret specifications for accurate results.
• Translate instructions into CNC commands and set up tooling.
• Load raw materials and parts onto machines safely.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet requirements.
• Supervise machine operations and adjust for quality.
• Perform daily maintenance and keep workspace clean.
• Follow safety procedures and SOPs at all times.
• Conduct quality control tests on produced parts.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and resolve promptly.
• Support continuous production flow and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• 1. Operate and maintain CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• 2. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• 3. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• 4. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• 5. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• 6. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• 7. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• 8. Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• 9. Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• 10. Conduct quality control tests to ensure the product meets production standards and specifications.

Qualifications

• 1. Proven experience as a CNC Operator, Swiss Machinist, or similar role.
• 2. Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• 3. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• 4. Knowledge of computer and software programming.
• 5. Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination.
• 6. Strong attention to detail.
• 7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• 8. Ability to handle heavy equipment.
• 9. Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job/task.
• 10. Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks.
• 11. High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus.
• 12. Professional certification in CNC Machining or a related field would be an added advantage.
