The CNC Router Operator is responsible for the successful and efficient operation of all CNC routers, maintaining order and delivery of cut parts to the carpentry team. We provide a creative, collaborative, and professional atmosphere working on diverse projects with a wide range of craftspeople, clients, and vendors. We offer a competitive salary and a full benefits package.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Understand and interpret router files
  2. Oversee cutting strategies to maintain precise cutting and bit life
  3. Strategize the best use of new and remnant materials
  4. Load and unload sheet goods onto router bed
  5. Clean, trim, deburr, and collate finished pieces
  6. Maintain machines according to the maintenance schedule
  7. Communicate problems and progress to technical management
  8. Assist other departments when time allows
  9. Maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
  1. Pass drug screening and background check requirements
  2. Carpentry shop experience in scenic or production industries
  3. Proficient with tools and construction materials
  4. Team-oriented, collaborative work ethic
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Ability to work overtime
  8. Repetitive use of feet and hands
  9. Ability to lift 100 lbs repeatedly
  10. Ability to push and pull upwards of 10 lbs repeatedly
  11. Occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity
Education Requirements
  1. Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school preferred
Work Environment
  1. Exposed to excessive noise
  2. Around moving machinery
  3. Marked changes in temperature and humidity
  4. Exposed to dust
  5. Wearing safety clothing and equipment may be required
