Job summary

Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
• Takes measurements of material and selects the appropriate machine for the process.
• Perform all of the Grade I requirements.
• Contacts supervisory personnel when raw products, events, or finished products are not conforming to required standards.
• Maintains and performs preventive maintenance on machines and related systems.
• Records machine data for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.

This is a 2nd shift position.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years of recent working experience in CNC Lathe.
• Completion of a 2-year technical/trade school in machining (preferred).

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Must be able to read engineering blueprints and planning.
• A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required.
• MUST be well organized, works well with others, and flexible.
• Broad skill set who is not afraid to tackle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge in tool wear and offsets.
• Setup, program, and operate.
• Perform tool adjustment as required.
• Work with Engineering to make tooling.
• Able to use inspections tool to inspect parts.
• Perform ancillary activities and other duties as assigned.

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be a U.S. Person which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], U.S. National, Refugee, or Asylee.

MIN: $24 to $29
