Job summary

Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation is seeking a CNC Operator for our Columbia, PA plant. You will work in the machine shop handling CNC mills and lathes, loading parts, and ensuring quality per specifications.

The role requires attention to safety and precision, with opportunities to learn daily production reporting in M3 and to participate in overtime as needed. Excellent benefits accompany a standard full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
• Must be able to discern imperfections, understand quality of repairs of iron holders / ladles.
• Must be able to understand basic addition to tally units per training.
• Must be able to learn job duties and locations from verbal instructions.
• Must be available for weekend and overtime assignments as required.

Responsibilities

• Load a part safely, start the machine cycle and remove the part; perform a visual quality inspection.
• Operate all CNC equipment (mills/lathes).
• Complete necessary product quality inspections and documentation.
• Place completed parts in the appropriate container.
• Report daily production (M3) and respond to machine malfunctions or unusual noises.
• Maintain quality and productivity objectives across single and multiple equipment operations.
• Learn to report daily production in M3.
• Train in the use of precise measuring equipment and quality inspection.
• Understand product identification and quality standards.

CNC Operator

Department: Manufacturing & Distribution - Skilled Jobs

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Columbia, PA - Plant

Reporting To: Chuck Moore

Compensation: $23.50 - $40.00 / hour

Description

As a CNC Operator at ASC, you will work in the Machine shop and have the opportunity to perform all CNC operations pertaining to the machining of threaded pipe fittings and to ensure the safety of all functions.

How You Will Help

• Operator trained to load a part safely, start the machine cycle and remove the part when completed. Perform a visual quality inspection of the part. Notify the supervisor or lead of any issues


• Operate all CNC Equipment (mills/lathes)


• Complete necessary product quality inspections and documentation


• Place completed parts in the appropriate container


• How to use the Emergency-stop in the event of a machine malfunction or unusual noise


• Must maintain quality & productivity objectives in single and multiple equipment operation


• Capable of learning how to report daily production in M3


• Must be trainable in the use of precise measuring equipment & quality inspection.


• Must be able to comprehend product identification and quality standards

Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned. Employee must be able to obtain a tow motor license and successfully pass LOTO and confined space training.
