Job summary

Randstad USA in Ohio is seeking an entry-level/some experience CNC Machine Operator to run Haas VF-4 mills and inspect precision components. This is a contract-to-hire role with a direct-hire transition after completing 480 hours, in a safety-focused manufacturing environment.

The position offers $21–$22 per hour on first shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) with high school education required and opportunities to expand machining skills.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role requiring 6 months to 1 year machining experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and basic GD&T.
• High school education required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Haas VF-4 vertical milling centers per production plans.
• Read drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to understand tolerances.
• Load materials, secure workpieces, adjust fixtures and offsets.
• Monitor milling cycles, check finishes, and adjust tools as needed.
• Conduct quality checks with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep area clean and safe.

Job description

We are seeking an entry-level/some experience (6 months to 1 year) CNC Machine Operator to assist in running and inspecting precision components. This is a contract-to-hire position with a direct-hire transition after completing 480 hours. It offers a great opportunity to expand your machining skills operating modern Haas vertical machining centers (VF-4 mills) in a fast-paced, safety-focused manufacturing environment.

salary: $21 - $22 per hour

work hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Operate Haas VF-4 vertical milling centers according to production plans.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and basic GD&T to understand machining steps and tolerances.
• Load raw materials, secure workpieces, and verify basic fixture setups and offsets.
• Monitor milling cycles, check part finishes, and perform basic tool wear adjustments.
• Conduct quality checks on finished parts using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance (cleaning machines, checking coolant/lubrication levels, and chip removal).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace following 5S standards.

The essential functions of this role include:
