Job summary

MacLean Power Systems in Alabama is seeking a skilled technician to operate and program mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting.

You will read blueprints, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure parts meet quality standards, while adhering to 5S and safety policies.

Strong reading of work instructions and good communication are expected; CAD/CAM experience and technical training are preferred.

Qualifications

• CAD/CAM software experience required.
• Technical training completion expected.
• Able to interpret work instructions.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• 3–5 years of experience preferred in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate, programming and setup assigned mechanical equipment
• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments
• Read and interpret blue prints if applicable
• Use basic measuring instruments
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• CAD/CAM software
• Technical training course completed
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
• 3 to 5 years of experience preferred
• Ability to interpret work instructions
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
