Job summary

Advanced Machine & Engineering is seeking a full-time CNC OD/ID Grinder Operator for 1st shift. You will set up and run CNC grinding machines to produce precision components per engineering specs in a fast-paced job shop.

The role requires independent programming, tight tolerances, and surface finish control. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CNC OD/ID grinding experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and proficiency with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

Must have 5+ years CNC OD/ID grinding experience in a job shop.
Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient in programming and setting up CNC grinders independently.
Ability to meet tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.
Experience with measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, comparators).

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC OD and ID grinding machines, including tooling, wheels, and fixtures.
Independently develop and adjust CNC programs to meet part specifications.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, work orders, and grinding specifications.
Select, dress, and maintain grinding wheels as required.
Monitor machine operations and adjust to achieve tolerances and finishes.
Perform high-level inspection of finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
Adapt to frequent job changeovers in a job shop setting.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
