Job summary

FFI-Aerospace- in Westminster, MD 21157 is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to lead end-to-end setup and operation of milling and turning work, reading complex prints and CAD files, and coaching others on best practices.

You will adjust offsets, tooling, and parameters to keep parts in spec, perform routine maintenance, inspect parts, and collaborate with engineering to improve processes.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in CNC machining with strong knowledge of CNC operations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex prints and CAD files.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end CNC setup and operation (milling and turning) to spec.
• Interpret blueprints and CAD data to guide tooling and approach.
• In-process checks and adjustments to maintain tolerance and surface finish.
• Routine maintenance and quick diagnostics to keep equipment running.
• Mentor junior machinists to raise the team’s performance.
