Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to join its established, mid-sized shop with over 50 years of experience producing precision components for aerospace, defense, and medical markets.

You will set up, program and operate multi-axis milling machines to produce critical parts to tight tolerances. The role requires reading blueprints, GD&T interpretation, and careful use of precision measuring devices to verify first-piece and production parts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC milling set up and operation.
• Ability to set up and run 3, 4, and 5 axis vertical CNC milling machines.
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls and basic G-code/M-code programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Competence with precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
• Read blueprints and ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.
• Write and edit basic CNC programs (G-code, M-code) as needed.
• Use precision gauges to verify first piece and production parts, ensuring tolerances.

Job description

Seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to join a well-established, mid-sized CNC manufacturing company with over 50 years of experience producing precision components for the Aerospace, Defense, and Medical industries.

Responsibilities

• As a CNC Milling Machine Set Up Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
• Reporting to the shop President, your role is essential in ensuring that the manufacturing process meets all specifications and quality standards.
• You will utilize your core skills in blueprint reading, machining knowledge, and use precision measuring instruments to manufacture quality parts.
• Your expertise will contribute to supporting efficient production workflows and uphold the organization's commitment to excellence in manufacturing.

Required Skills

• Ability set up and run 3, 4, and 5 axis vertical CNC Milling machines.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to write and edit basic CNC programs (G-code programming).
• Capability to program and work with positional indexers.
• Ability to read blueprints and working knowledge of GD&T is desirable.
• Competence in the use of various measuring instruments and gages to verify both production and first piece dimensions.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
• Willing to work in a team-based environment.
• Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.
