Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a mid-level CNC Milling Operator II to own production milling on established jobs. You will operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills, perform basic part inspection with calipers and micrometers, and work closely with setup machinists and quality personnel in a precision shop.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of production CNC milling experience.
• Intermediate blueprint reading with GD&T basics.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools and inspection methods.
• Ability to recognize tool wear, surface finish issues, and dimensional drift.
• Strong communication with setup machinists and quality personnel.
• Follow documented procedures and production requirements precisely.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current/future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3-, 4-, 4-axis horizontal, and 5-axis CNC milling machines on established jobs.
• Perform intermediate part inspection using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Make basic wear offset adjustments and routine tooling changes per procedures.
• Follow work instructions, inspection plans, and traveler requirements.
• Identify and elevate tool issues, machine alarms, and part defects before production.
• Record job data, part counts, labor time, and production documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area to support quality.
