Job summary

Nucor Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and run CNC milling machines per BOM and work instructions. You will plan daily workload to align with production schedules and ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include loading programs, inspecting parts, maintaining machines, and adhering to safety standards in a heavy manufacturing setting. Flexibility for 2nd shift or weekend shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 months to 5 years related experience.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lifting equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, etc.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize daily workload to meet production schedule.
• Transport parts from racking area using a forklift.
• Safely operate an Up Cut saw to cut parts.
• Load CNC programs into machine consoles with preprogrammed instructions.
• Review specifications to determine setup procedures and sequences.
• Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication.
