Job summary

ETS is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Setup specialist to join our precision manufacturing team in Williston, VT. The role involves setting up and operating milling machines, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring tight tolerances on aerospace-grade parts.

You’ll collaborate with engineering to improve processes and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in CNC milling setup, strong G-code and GD&T knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in CNC milling setup, preferably in aerospace or high-precision environments.
• Strong knowledge of G-code, tooling, and machining principles.
• Proficiency in GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with tight-tolerance machining and supporting or training team members.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines following detailed work instructions and blueprints
• Install, align, and adjust fixtures and cutting tools to meet process requirements
• Troubleshoot setup issues, tool wear, and machining errors to ensure quality standards
• Maintain accurate setup documentation and production records in compliance with industry regulations
• Collaborate with engineering to improve machining processes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform routine machine maintenance and uphold safety and 5S organizational practices

Your day-to-day as a CNC Mill Setup:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines following detailed work instructions and blueprints
• Install, align, and adjust fixtures and cutting tools to meet process requirements
• Troubleshoot setup issues, tool wear, and machining errors to ensure quality standards
• Maintain accurate setup documentation and production records in compliance with industry regulations
• Collaborate with engineering to improve machining processes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
