Job summary

ANDRITZ in Lancaster, Ohio, seeks an experienced machinist to set up and operate multiple conventional drills and milling machines, performing precise drilling, counterboring and tapping operations to tight tolerances. Qualifications

• Experience operating drills and mills with attention to tolerances.
• Ability to select tooling, speeds, feeds, and fixturing for various jobs.
• Familiarity with basic measuring and gauging tools.

Responsibilities

• Receives work instructions from supervisor.
• Selects cutters, spindle speeds, table feeds, fixtures and other holding devices on specials and short-run jobs; follows setup detail prescribed on standardized/repetitive work, but Operator may vary same within limits of standard procedures to compensate for material variations, rigidity of setup and cutting conditions.
