Job summary

Mersen is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for its Robesonia, PA plant. The candidate will read blueprints, translate instructions for CNC machines, and load materials for milling, drilling, and grinding tasks in a safety-focused environment.

Ideal applicants have at least three years of CNC milling experience, knowledge of GD&T, and strong math skills to ensure precise outputs while maintaining clean, organized workstations.

Qualifications

• CNC milling experience of at least three years.
• Proficient in common CNC milling techniques.
• Basic knowledge of G-Coding programming is preferred.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong mathematical and numerical aptitude.
• Ability to work with decimals and fractions.
• Use of basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers).
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Understand specifications of the tasks at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Prepare a test run to check if the machines product outputs according to specifications.
• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Enthusiasm to continually learn new skills and techniques
• Maintain cleanliness in work area
• Always promotes and emphasizes safety
