Job summary

A&R Engineering Co., Inc. in Carson, CA is seeking a CNC Mill Operator with 1–2 years of experience. The role emphasizes Haas and Fanuc controls, and work on 4-axis Horizontal Machine Centers and 4-axis vertical mills.

You will perform basic program edits, set tools, and use calipers and micrometers. Familiarity with SPC charts and first article measurements is required; ITAR training will be provided; attendance and overtime/weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years CNC Mill operator experience.
• Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls preferred.
• Experience with 4-axis Horizontal Machine Centers and 4-axis vertical mills desired, 5-axis experience is a plus
• Ability to perform basic program edits and set tools.
• Experience with basic measuring tools (dial calipers, ID/OD micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges).
• Understand SPC requirements and fill out SPC charts.
• Perform 1st article measurements and fill out related paperwork.
• Read and understand English to interpret blueprints and work orders.

Responsibilities

Job description

Candidate must have 1 to 2 years’ experience as a CNC Mill operator, experience with Haas and Fanuc controls preferred.

Experience with 4-axis Horizontal Machine Centers and 4-axis vertical mills desired, 5-axis experience is a plus

Operator must be able to perform basic program edits and be able to set tools

Operator must have experience in the use of basic measuring tools (dial calipers, ID, OD micrometers, bore gages, thread gages).

Be able to understand SPC requirements and fill out SPC charts.

Perform 1st article measurements as directed by lead person or Production Manager, understand and be able to fill out 1st article paperwork.

Must be able to read and understand English to interpret blueprints, industry specifications and work order instructions.

A&R will provide training to enable the candidate to move into CNC machinist and Setup machinist position.

The candidate must have impeccable attendance and be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as needed

Salary Range: $18-$22/hr
