Job summary

Avalign Technologies is seeking a CNC Mill Operator for our Greenwood, IN facility on a 2nd shift. You will operate 3-axis or 4-axis Haas Mills to cut, drill, mill, ream, bore, and broach metallic and nonmetallic workpieces, ensuring parts meet blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, preparing tooling, mounting setups, and monitoring machine performance. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, planning sheets, and data to determine tooling, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods.
• Prepares tools and verifies fixture setups meet quality standards for milling and boring sizes and depths.
• Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling and workpieces; assembles cutting tools in holders and machine magazines.
• Loads control media or enters commands to retrieve instructions from database.

Responsibilities

• Sets machine controls to position spindle relative to workpiece and regulate cutting parameters.
• Conducts prove-outs and manual programming during setups with supervisor approval.
• Monitors machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjusts controls to correct out-of-tolerance machining.
• Operates machine and performs non-automated functions when programming fails or machine malfunctions.
• Cleans machine and tooling; participates in routine maintenance and safety checks.
