Avalign Technologies in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling centers, producing high-precision parts per blueprints and work instructions.

On 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00am–4:30pm) you will perform setups, changeovers, and program debugging, read blueprints, and use precision tools. You’ll document quality checks electronically and support training, all while maintaining safety and continuous improvement.

Competenze

• 2+ years of CNC milling experience.
• Experience with Mazak, Mori, or YCM machines.
• Read blueprints and inspection sheets.
• Understand setup files and basic CNC programming.

Mansioni

• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and CNC program debugging with necessary adjustments.
• Operate and maintain CNC mill machines, finishing equipment, hand tools and fixtures; burr removal as required.
• Read blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions.

We’re looking for a skilledCNC Mill Machinist to join our Fort Wayne, IN facility. In this role, you’ll set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling centers, using your machining expertise to produce high-quality precision parts that meet blueprint specifications and work instructions.

1st Shift:

• 4-10s Monday – Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm

What You’ll Do:

• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and CNC program debugging, including necessary machine adjustments and tool changes.
• Operate and maintain CNC Mill machines, finishing machines, hand tools, and fixtures; perform burr removal as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions.
• Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators.
• Utilize ERP and machine monitoring systems to manage work orders, monitor production, and document quality checks electronically.
• Provide detailed feedback to CNC programmers and ensure setup documentation is current, following change control procedures.
• Support the training of other team members in your area of responsibility as needed.
• Drive continuous improvements towards quality and delivery within the work area.
• Execute the production plan to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
• Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations; wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety and training guidelines.

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical training preferred.
• 2+ years of CNC milling experience, preferably with Mazak, Mori, or YCM machines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machinery, tooling, measuring, and gauging equipment relevant to assigned areas, with a deep understanding of production processes.
• Expertise in machinery setups, blueprint reading, routers, and setup files.
• Understanding of part requirements to ensure quality assembly, both functionally and cosmetically.
• Understanding basic CNC programming.
