Job summary

Techneeds LLC is seeking a CNC Operator A to set up, program manually (no CAM) and operate Fanuc-controlled vertical CNC milling machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings.

You will interpret blueprints, perform first-piece verification, and troubleshoot machining issues while aiming to optimize cycle times and part quality. The role also involves training junior operators and supporting inspection and maintenance activities to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of CNC milling with manual programming (no CAM).
• Extensive experience with Fanuc-controlled vertical CNC milling machines.
• Strong setup, programming, and operation skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work orders.
• Proficient with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
• Knowledge of tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and workholding.
• Ability to train and mentor other operators.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Familiar with Labor tracking, Material issue/return, SPC/AQL, CNC program transfer.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of programming CNC milling machines with manual programming (no CAM)
• Extensive experience with Fanuc-controlled vertical CNC milling machines
• Strong skills in machine setup, programming, and operation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work orders
• Proficient in using standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators
• Skilled in troubleshooting machining and programming issues
• Knowledge of tooling selection, speeds and feeds, and workholding methods
• Ability to train and mentor other operators and junior machinists
• Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Familiarity with systems like Labor tracking, Material issue and return, SPC/AQL processes, and CNC program transfer
