Job description

Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines, including mills and lathes, to fabricate precision parts. This role requires interpreting part drawings or job instructions, executing setups, fabricating components, and performing inspections with accuracy and efficiency. The machinist must be capable of independently handling all setups, understanding machine controls, and conducting basic programming.

Essential Functions:
  • Fabricate parts in strict accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Meet or exceed standard job time requirements whenever possible.
  • Independently set up machines and execute machining operations efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to machine controls and part programs.
  • Employees will receive on-the-job training and be certified to operate a forklift as part of their role.
  • Conduct secondary operations such as drilling, tapping, and deburring.
  • Complete all job paperwork and inspection reports accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Non-Essential Functions:
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Assist with miscellaneous shop duties as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proficient in understanding and following written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Two years of post-secondary education focused on machine tool technology or equivalent hands-on experience in CNC machining.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly and frequently throughout the shift (8–10-hour day)
  • Stand for the entire duration of the shift
