You will perform regular setups, run longer production jobs, and verify part quality using precision measuring tools to ensure tight tolerances are consistently maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a 5-axis CNC mill, including performing 23 machine setups per week depending on production needs.
  • Review daily work instructions and production schedules to determine the parts and programs to run.
  • Configure machines for each job, including loading and securing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces, and verifying correct offsets and parameters.
  • Perform tooling changes as required during setup and production to maintain efficient machining operations.
  • Run production parts, monitor machine performance, and make appropriate adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and quality standards.
  • Use vertical mills and related machining equipment as needed to support production requirements.
  • Identify and communicate any issues with tooling, programs, or equipment that may impact quality or throughput.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Repeat setup and production processes as jobs are completed, supporting longer run times and continuous production as needed.
Essential Skills
