Chirp in Austin, TX is seeking a CNC Operator/Manufacturing Technician to support a small automated machining cell producing precision robotics components.

Chirp is looking for a CNC Operator/Manufacturing Technician to help run and support a small automated machining cell producing precision robotics components. This is a production environment; we are running the same parts constantly.
This is not a traditional one-machine, one-operator role. You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting multiple CNC machines, starting with around three machines and potentially growing to five as the cell expands. The machines will be equipped with automation such as robots, bar feeders, parts catchers, and other production support equipment.
This role is a great fit for someone reliable, hands-on, detail-oriented, and interested in modern manufacturing. Some days may involve basic part loading and machine tending, but the broader responsibility is keeping an automated machining cell running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is not just looking to stand at a machine and press a button all day. We are looking for someone who wants to understand the process, keep things moving, notice problems before they become bigger issues, and help improve the way the cell operates.
There is plenty of room to grow for someone who wants to do more. As the manufacturing team expands, this role could develop into additional responsibilities in setup support, inspection, process improvement, automation support, or production leadership.
