Job summary

Schmid Tool & Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the New Project Launch Engineers in supporting new product introductions and process optimization. You will guide capital projects, set technical standards, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to meet customer requirements and profitability goals.

The role requires hands-on CNC machining experience, including horizontal/vertical/multi‑axis machines, and a proven track record in process optimization,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 10+ years in manufacturing engineering with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, processes, and quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Project Launch Engineering to meet demand and margins.
• Oversee product launches, changes, and process changes.
• Define capital equipment needs and budget/payback analyses.
• Manage implementation plans for new part projects and routings in ERP.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
