Job summary

Actalent in Greenville, SC seeks a CNC Programming Machinist to develop and maintain NC programs using NX-CAM, handling multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM. You will verify programs with Vericut and support engineers with tooling and operator training.

The role emphasizes process improvements, teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment, and hands-on CNC troubleshooting on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in NX and NX-CAM for CNC programming.
• Experience in tooling and fixture design.
• Strong skills in CNC programming and CAM programming.
• Familiarity with FANUC Macro B for probing, tool selection, data capture, and hole location logic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CNC programs using NX-CAM or similar software for multi-axis operations.
• Verify new CNC programs before release on the shop floor using Vericut.
• Provide CNC-related support to Manufacturing Engineers and train operators on startups and improvements.
• Offer daily operator support in CNC programming and troubleshooting on the shop floor.
• Support and implement tooling and fixturing requirements for CNC machines.
• Generate and support workstation instructions for CNC issues.
• Initiate and lead process improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with team members as needed.
• Work effectively individually and in teams in a matrixed organization; embrace change in a fast-paced environment.
