Job summary

Saelens LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Manufacturing Engineer to help develop, optimize, and improve CNC machining processes in a precision environment. The role is on-site in Johnson Creek, WI and reports to the Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate will have CNC programming experience, a strong grasp of tooling and materials, and familiarity with robotic systems. Benefits include health plans, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CNC programming languages and software.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and cutting tools.
• Knowledge of robotic systems and automation technologies; programming preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs for machining operations.
• Analyze existing processes and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Evaluate robotic technologies and recommend solutions that support project goals.
• Work with Quality to investigate issues and ensure products meet specifications.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering to interpret technical drawings and improve manufacturability.
• Provide manufacturing input during product development and process planning.
• Train machine operators on CNC processes and procedures.
• Maintain accurate CNC program, setup, and process documentation.
• Identify opportunities to apply new technologies and stay current with manufacturing best practices.

CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Johnson Creek, WI

Employment Type: Full-time, on-site

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Pay Range: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour based on experience, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus

Sign-On Bonus: Eligible candidates may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus when hired directly by Saelens LLC. Candidates hired through a staffing agency or recruiter are not eligible.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changes in technology, processes, and project requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.
